01Welcome

These terms govern your use of BUDBC and everything on budbc.cc — browsing it, holding a panel on it, and buying from it.

By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, stop here and do not use the site.

We may change these terms. The effective date at the top of the page always says which version is current, and using the site after a change means you accept it.

02Terminology

"You" and "your" mean the person using this site. "We", "us", "our" and "BUDBC" mean the business operating it. "Buds" are the companion creatures on your panel; "the Shop" is our catalogue; "the Bud Mart" is where panel items are bought with points.

Singular and plural, and any pronoun, are interchangeable where the sense allows it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable laws of Canada. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

03Age and eligibility

You must be 19 or older to use this site. Confirming your age is a condition of entry and it is not a formality: selling cannabis to a minor is a criminal offence and we treat it as one.

• You may not buy on behalf of anyone under 19.
• You may not resell what you buy here.
• You must be ordering to a Canadian address. We do not ship internationally, and attempting to arrange onward export is a breach of these terms and of federal law.

We may refuse or cancel any order, and close any account, where we have reasonable grounds to believe this section is being broken.

04Products and descriptions

Cannabis is an agricultural product. Colour, density, aroma and appearance vary between harvests of the same strain, and photography is representative rather than a guarantee of the exact article you will receive.

Descriptions, effects and aromas printed on a product page are supplied by the grower and reproduced as written. They describe what a strain is commonly reported to be like. They are not medical advice, they are not a claim that any product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents any condition, and nothing on this site should be read as one.

Cannabis impairs. Do not drive or operate machinery after use. Keep it away from children and pets.

Stock and pricing change. Where a product is listed at an incorrect price we may cancel the order and refund it rather than fulfil it, and we will tell you why.

05Ordering and payment

An order placed on this site is an offer to buy. It becomes a contract when we accept it and it moves to Processing, which happens automatically once your payment has settled.

• We accept Interac e-transfer, and Bitcoin at 5% off the order total. We do not accept credit cards.
• Payment normally settles within one hour, and your order advances on its own when it does.
• There is no minimum order.
• An order that goes unpaid is cancelled and the stock released.

Prices are in Canadian dollars.

06Shipping and delivery

We ship within Canada only, by Xpresspost.

• Dispatch cutoff is 9am PST Tuesday to Friday, and 8am PST on Monday. Orders paid after the cutoff go out the next dispatch day.
• Delivery is typically 1–3 business days after dispatch. That window is Canada Post's, not ours, and we cannot compress it.
• Shipping is a flat $20 express, and free on orders over $100 after discounts.
• Every order ships vacuum-sealed inside a plain, unbranded outer. The contents are not identified on the label.

Some postal codes are known to be unreliable for this kind of shipment — the X series, along with R0B, R8N, J0M and N0H. We will ship to them, but delivery is not guaranteed and the risk is yours once the parcel is dispatched.

You are responsible for giving us a correct and complete address. A parcel lost to a wrong address entered at checkout is not something we can recover.

07Returns and resolutions

Because of what we sell and how it is paid for, this is not an ordinary returns policy, and it is better to say so plainly than to bury it.

• E-transfers are not reversed.
• If something arrives wrong, damaged, or not as described, we make it right in product or in store credit.
• Tell us within a reasonable time of delivery and keep the packaging — photographs of the parcel and its contents settle almost every case immediately.

Email support@budbc.cc with your order number in the subject line and a person will deal with it.

08Your panel

You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.

Give us accurate registration details. An account opened with false information, used to evade a cancellation, or used to break these terms may be suspended or closed.

You may close your account whenever you like. Closing it forfeits any points balance, badge tier and Bud attached to it.

09Points, badges and Buds

The rewards on this site are a loyalty programme, not property and not money.

• You earn 2 loyalty points for every $1 spent.
• Badge tiers are set by lifetime spend. Only the highest tier you have reached applies, and tiers never stack.
• Points, badges, Buds, panel skins and anything bought from the Bud Mart have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be sold or transferred to another person or account.
• Evolution points are earned per ordering cycle kept rather than per dollar spent, so a Bud's stage reflects consistency and cannot be bought outright.

We may correct a balance that is wrong, and we may withdraw points or a tier obtained through fraud, error or abuse of a promotion. We may change or end the programme; where we do, we will give reasonable notice and honour points already earned for a reasonable period.

10Refer a friend

Every account has a personal referral link. The amounts on offer are the ones shown in your panel at the time, and we may change them for referrals made afterwards.

• A friend who opens a new account through your link gets the stated discount off their first order, placed while signed in to that account, if that order meets the minimum first order shown in your panel at the time. The minimum is measured on the goods after other discounts, before this discount and before shipping. An existing account cannot be referred.
• When that friend's first order is completed and met that minimum, you receive the stated credit. It is taken off your next order automatically, up to the value of the goods in it, and does not apply to shipping.
• One reward per referred friend. Nothing is earned for an order that is cancelled or refunded before it is completed, and a reward is withdrawn if the order that earned it is later refunded.
• Credit used on an order that is cancelled, fails or is refunded is returned to your account.
• You may not refer yourself, including through a second account or email address. Referral credit has no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account.

We may withhold or withdraw a referral reward obtained through fraud, error or abuse, and we may pause or end the programme. Credit already earned stays spendable while your account is open.

11Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the site for anything unlawful, or to break any cannabis regulation that applies to you;
• scrape, crawl, harvest or bulk-copy the catalogue, prices or content;
• attempt to gain access to an account, server or system that is not yours;
• interfere with the site's operation, or upload anything malicious to it;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your age or identity.

12Cookies

This site uses cookies. Using it means agreeing to that, on the terms set out in our Privacy Policy, which explains exactly which cookies are set and what each one does.

They keep you signed in, keep your cart, and remember that you have confirmed your age. Blocking them leaves the site readable but not usable as a shop.

13Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, BUDBC and its licensors own the intellectual property in everything on this site — the BUDBC name and logo, the site's design and code, its photography and written content, and the Buds: their names, designs, artwork and the type and evolution system behind them. All rights are reserved.

You may view and use the site for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

• republish material from BUDBC;
• sell, rent or sub-licence it;
• reproduce, duplicate or copy it;
• redistribute it.

The Buds are original characters created for this site. They are not licensed from, affiliated with, or endorsed by any other franchise, and any resemblance to another creature-collecting property is thematic rather than derived.

14Anything you post

Where the site lets you submit content — a review, a comment, a support message — that content is yours and reflects your views, not ours. We do not check it before it appears, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for it.

By submitting it you confirm that:

• it is yours to post, and you have any permission needed to post it;
• it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
• it is not defamatory, obscene, offensive or otherwise unlawful, and does not invade anyone's privacy;
• it is not being used to advertise a business or to promote unlawful activity.

You grant BUDBC a non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce and edit that content in any format. We may monitor content and remove anything that breaches these terms.

15Linking to us

These may link to us without asking first: government bodies, search engines, news organisations, and online directories listing us the way they list other businesses.

Any such link must not be deceptive, must not imply that we sponsor or endorse the linking party, and must sit sensibly in the context of their site.

We will consider requests from other organisations — established consumer and business information sources, industry associations, and professional firms — and will approve them where the link is in the context of general resource information and does not reflect badly on us or on our customers.

To request one, email support@budbc.cc with your name, your organisation, your URL, and the pages you intend to link from and to. Allow two to three weeks for a reply.

Approved links may use our business name, the plain URL, or any other fair description of the page being linked to. Using our logo or other artwork requires a written licence.

16Framing

You may not put our pages in a frame or otherwise alter how they look, without our written permission.

17Content on your site

We are not responsible for anything that appears on your site, and you agree to defend us against claims arising from it.

No link to us should appear on any site that is defamatory, obscene or unlawful, or that infringes or advocates infringing anyone's rights.

18Your privacy

How we handle your information is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

19Reservation of rights

We may ask you to remove any link to this site, and you agree to remove it on request. We may also revise these terms and our linking policy at any time; continuing to link to us means accepting the version then in force.

If you find a link on our site that you object to, tell us. We will consider removing it, though we are not obliged to remove it or to reply.

We do not warrant that everything on this site is accurate or complete, that the site will always be available, or that its content is up to date.

20Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude all representations, warranties and conditions relating to this site and its use. Nothing in this disclaimer will:

• limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
• limit or exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
• limit any liability in a way the law does not permit;
• exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The limits in this section govern every liability arising under this disclaimer, including in contract, in tort and for breach of statutory duty. While the site and its information are provided free of charge, we accept no liability for loss or damage of any kind arising from their use.

Nothing here limits your rights under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or other consumer protection law that applies to you.
